Function

The ISDN-VoIP gateway ITA+ connects ISDN devices to an Ethernet-LAN interface with soft switch for voice over IP.

Its ISDN interface behaves exactly like the ISDN interface of a NT1 or PABX. Up to 8 ISDN phones or a ISDN PBX can be connected to the ISDN interface, with the ITA+ supplying power to up to 4 ISDN phones. Voice-type terminal devices such as analog answering machines or G3 fax devices connected via a PBX are also supported. VoIP communications via the broadband cable network are based on the SIP protocol.

The second Ethernet connector of the ITA+ connects a PC via internal switch function to the Ethernet-LAN.
