Stollmann has been developing and marketing serial Bluetooth adapters and standard modules since 1999. As well as these modules, Stollmann also has a proprietary Bluetooth stack. This means that the technology is fully under control and extensive customer-specific adaptations can be made.

Solder-on Class 2 Bluetooth Modules

BlueMod+P24/G2 and BlueMod+P25/G2 are extremely small, powerful Class 2 Bluetooth modules. Having their own Cortex3 application processor, they are particularly well-suited for many advanced applications. The modules are Bluetooth 3.0 (subject to firmware) qualified and CE, FCC, IC and ARIB certified.

These Bluetooth modules have a serial UART interface and additional interfaces for integration into your system. Thanks to a special power management protocol, the current consumption of the Bluetooth modules can be significantly reduced. The Bluetooth antenna is included in BlueMod+P25/G2. The BlueMod+P24/G2 features a pin to connect an external antenna and is therefore also suited for devices with metal housing.

Firmware Versions
  • Serial Port Profile (SPP). For wireless cable replacement applications. Compatible to Apple iPhone / iPod / iPad. 600-700 kbps sustained SPP net data rate.

  • Human Interface Device Profile (HID). For use in mouse and keyboard devices.

  • Health Device Profile (HDP). The Health Device Profile is used for connecting medical data source devices such as blood pressure monitors, weighting scales, etc. to data sink devices such as mobile phones, laptops and desktop computers without the need for cables. Also supports SPP connections for proprietary data transfer or advanced functionality like multiplexing. The firmware also features the UICP+ power management protocol.   • HDP Firmware with integrated IEEE 11073. Complete Continua certified system where the HDP and IEEE 11073 device specialization is running on the module. Available with:

        2. IEEE 11073-407 Blood Pressure Monitor
        3. IEEE 11073-415 Weighing Scale
        4. IEEE 11073-417 Blood Glucose Meter

    The evaluation kit comes bundled with HealthLink, a complete IEEE 11073 manager from Lamprey Networks.

Stollmann developed the Bluetooth software and hardware and can therefore offer a wide range of customized solutions. It is also possible to modify the HDP/SPP firmware yourself by using the BlueBSP+
