BlueDev+P25/G2/HDP
Bluetooth Health Device Profile Development Kit
This is a development kit for the Bluetooth Health Device Profile (HDP) embedded on the Stollmann BlueMod+P25/G2 module.
Features
- Health Device Profile
- MCAP transport layer
- Continua CESL ready
- Binary LTP interface
- Requires Visual Studio 2005 or higher
The Bluetooth Health Device Profile defines the transport protocol for medical data. It is used in combination with the IEEE 11073 specification which defines data formats for medical applications. The Health Device Profile is used for connecting data Source devices such as blood pressure monitors, weight scales, etc. to data Sink devices such as mobile phones, laptops, desktop computers, and health appliances without the need for cables.
BlueDev+P25/G2/HDP is designed to enable developers of medical devices to
- evaluate Stollmann HDP modules
- evaluate sample source code demonstrating the usage of Stollmann HDP modules
- develop medical products using Stollmann Bluetooth technology
The BlueDev+P25/G2/HDP consist of one BlueMod+P25/G2 module with HDP firmware on evaluation board and one BlueHDP+USB dongle. This development kit does not include an IEEE 11073 protocol stack. IEEE 11073 may be integrated by the customer or by Stollmann. Stollmann offers software and hardware modules for system integration. A complete IEEE 11073 agent stack is separately available.
The BlueDev+P25/G2/HDP development kit makes it much easier to understand the serial LTP-Protocol. You can easily evaluate Bluetooth functionality like initialization, device inquiry, service discovery, secure simple pairing, connection, disconnection and a lot more. The kit includes a control application which is usable for manager and agent development. The ”Trace Output” of this application shows the complete LTP message protocol used by the application. The transport layer and the trace decoder are provided as reference source code in ANSI C. The application has a DLL interface for IEEE 11073 protocol development on a PC using Visual Studio 2005 and above. The DLL is provided as source code for an easy development start.
